grey lighthouse Skagen

Grey Lighthouse Skagen in May 2006. In the west the Skagerrak - in the east the Kattegat (somehow a magic point - we were often here). The round brick tower replaced the octagonal old lighthouse.

The tower is open for visitors, 210 steps to climb to the top. There is a wonderful view at the northern top of Denmark and the town Skagen. The lower picture shows a view from the lighthouse to the most northern tip of Denmark (Grenen) from 1996. How the coast has changed up to the year 2006 you can see at the 306-degree-panorama-picture.
