New lighthouse of Cape Arkona in November 2001. The old lighthouse
stands only some metres behind the new one. The picture below shows the new lighthouse from
the bearing tower.

The new yellow brick tower (build at an octagonal foundation of granite) was painted
with red and black bands from 1980 to 1992.
