Lighthouse Sauðanes (Sauðanesviti nyrðri) at the west side of the mouth of the Siglufjörður
in the north of Iceland in June 2008.
It is one of the nicest and most idyllic situated lighthouses of Iceland in our opinion. To reach it, one leaves the ring road
best of all to the east of Varmahlið and turns on the road 76. Then follow the road 76 shortly before the tunnel
before Siglufjörður. The lighthouse is good to be seen from the road and a gravel way leads steeply down to it.
