Lighthouse Hogsteinen (Høgstein) in June 2007. The earlier optical system was put out of operation in 1905 and was replaced by a typical uniform Norwegian light.
The lighthouse is located at the end of a natural stone pier at the most southerly point of the island of Godøya in the east of Ålesund.
