beacon Gammel Skagen

Beacon Gammel Skagen in Denmark in May 2006. It is the most northerly of the Danish beacons and stands at the old part of the town Skagen. This beacon was built in 1884 as the first of the 25 beacons, which exist once at the Danish North Sea coast. The foundation stands on a dune which is 20 meters high. The beacon itself is 18 meters high. The beacon was restored in 1999.
